IITM seeks to identify and employ young research fellows from across the world to be part of the Energy ConsortiumÂ
Engagement model: Fellowship at the Energy Consortium
Qualification:
Ph.D. from a reputed University, with a publication record. Areas of research aligned with applications of AI, preferably in the field of energy.
Project:
AI programs that will employ NLP approaches to unearth decarbonization solutions from the literature The AI bot will attempt to mimic what a large collection of researchers will do but in an unbiased and exhaustive fashionÂ
Objectives:Â
- Develop AI-enabled tools for accelerating decarbonization technology researchÂ
- Engage on an internationally relevant energy focus area geared toward enabling a low carbon futureÂ
- Develop methodology, and framework that could be leveraged by other researchers as wellÂ
Anticipated outcomes:Â
- Publications in high impact international journals and invited presentations in global conferences and workshopsÂ
- Author white papers that support policymakers on future energy policyÂ
- Patents and/or spin-off of the technology into potential start-upÂ
Mechanism:Â
- 2 years (1 year, can be extended upon successful outcomes)Â
- Globally competitive remuneration Â
- Start-up grant and a travel grantÂ
